Final Phantasy: Week 14 Round-Up

Another week, another split for me as far as fantasy goes. While my win in the ESPN league was hollow being that I'm in the Consolation Bracket for the playoffs. The loss in the Yahoo league tough, but not a complete blow for the Final Phantasy Title. Here's a look at how both leagues rounded out after Week 14.

  • ESPN (1st Round Playoffs)

Nick Bruiser- 115 Team Chenette- 81

The 4th seeded Team Bruiser heads to the championship game with a convincing victory which was lead by Chris Johnson (35), Ray Rice (25) and Dallas Clark with (22) points. The best team during the regular season fell short of the championship game with not much help from a couple of receivers, Anquan Boldin and Hines Ward both with only (2) points each.

I'm Butt Headed- 94 Northside Knuckleheads- 80

Team Butt Headed heads to the championship game upon the legs of Frank Gore (23) and the arm of Tony Romo with (17) points. The 3rd seeded Knuckleheads fell just short where these players could be pointed at for fault, Cadillac Williams (1), Tony Gonzalez (5) and Brett Farve with (9) points.

Dirty Sanchez- 80 Gator Bait- 72

Team Sanchez squeaked by with the help of two savvy vets, Thomas Jones (21) and Donovan McNabb (19). Team Bait fell by a slim margin and were hurt by the migraines of Percy Harvin who did not dress, Larry Fitzgerald (2) and Visanthe Shiancoe with only (1) point.

Bama Pride- 125 L Street Lunatics- 67

Team Pride racked up the most points this week and a win with the help from Andre Johnson (31), Drew Brees (23) and Reggie Bush with (19) points. The Lunatics fell once again with some more hard luck and no help from the injured Jeremy Maclin (0), Braylon Edwards (3) and Justin Forsett (6) points.

Psychopathic Eagles- 66 Chicago PackerKillerz- 59

In this very sad affair the Eagles broke a losing streak even with the likes of Clinton Portis, Chris Cooley and Dwayne Bowe all in the starting line-up, but did get great production from Brandon Marshall (32), Matt Schaub (20) and Maurice Jones-Drew (13). The PackerKillerz horrible season is just about over and continue their losing ways with little help from Kurt Warner (1), Greg Olsen (1) and Steven Jackson with (4) points.

Team BB- 143.30 Cleveland Steamers- 112.40

Team BB (4-10) won their 2nd in a row while racking up the high point total for the week. The high score could be attributed to these players help, Andre Johnson (43.60) and DeSean Jackson (41.80) points. With the loss the Steamers (8-6) failed to take control of Division 1 and received little help from these pass catchers, Steve Breatson (1.50) and Calvin Johnson with (3.70) points.

WonderTwinPowers- 129.40 Free Plaxico- 107.08

Team Wtp (6-8) got back on the winning track with big time production from Matt Schaub (33.40), Frank Gore (28.70) and Jamaal Charles with (24.10) points. Team Plaxico (8-6) even with the loss kept pace for 1st within Division 1, but this week were hurt by the migrained Percy Harvin (DNP) and the Giants D/ST who only managed (1) point.

I'm Number 6- 104.40 Stuffed Dogs- 95.66

Team #6 (10-4) took the overall league lead with their 6th consecutive win where Brandon Marshall (44) and the Philadelphia D/ST (13) lead the way to victory. The Dogs (5-9) fell again and had bad performances from Zach Miller (4.60) and Rashard Mendenhall with (7) points.

Bowdoin Hitmen III- 120.72 Spartans- 86.04

After a week departure from the win column the Hitmen (8-6) wont their 8th of their last nine. This week the Hitmen won despite a bad performance from Kurt Warner (-88), but lead again by Chris Johnson (36.60) and Ray Rice with (30.90) points. The Spartans (9-5) fell a game behind first in Division 2 with the loss where Randy Moss went backwards with (-.40), Anquan Boldin (2) and Tony Gonzalez with (5) points.

Saints- 58.84 Three T- 52.78

In this battle of ineptitude the Saints (5-9) came out victorious with their high scorer being Fred Jackson with (12.20) points. Team Three T (7-7) slipped back to .500 with two starters Michael Turner and Steve Slaton no playing due to injury and Donnie Avery only managing (1.40) points.
