- Must Plays (Week 14)
Quarterbacks
- Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay) A must play every week, but Rodgers get to face the rival Chicago Bears who have big trouble with any capable quarterbacks and Rodgers is far more than capable. He should put up huge numbers for his owners who may ride this signal caller to victory almost all by himself.
- Vince Young (Tennessee) Not known for putting up huge fantasy numbers, but anytime your team faces the St. Louis Rams the opposing quarterbacks have the opportunity to put up very nice fantasy production. Even better is that Young is a dual threat in this game in gaining yards with his feet and his arm over the very sad Rams squad.
- Ben Roethlisberger (Pittsburgh) The Steelers real woes are far from Big Ben's fault as he is putting up great numbers and fantasy production. The Steelers need to make a statement on both sides of the ball this week and Cleveland is the perfect remedy for doing that.
Running Backs
- Chris Johnson (Tennessee) Fantasy football roster decisions will never be confused with rocket science as we see here with Johnson. This year's best running back versus a very bad Rams defense equals another 100+ yard performance with a couple more touchdowns.
- Rashard Mendenhall (Pittsburgh) A cold division battle where the Steelers will be looking to lay the smack down on their weak division foes in the Cleveland Browns.
- Ray Rice (Baltimore) Rice had one of his more disappointing fantasy performances last week, but the Lions come to town this week where any and all running backs have nice fantasy production days.
Wide Receivers
- DeSean Jackson (Philadelphia) Now that his brain is unscrambled Jackson will look to take advantage of the very mediocre Giants secondary. The Eagles love the big play and that what Jackson is best at. Look for more 50+ yard plays from the playmaker.
- Donald Driver (Green Bay) Even with the very good Greg Jennings on the other side this savvy veteran has put up his best season in his career. Rodgers goes to Driver when things are on the line and he always plays well against the Bears.
- Andre Johnson (Houston) With the recent failures of the Texans he may be heading out of Houston as soon as he gets a chance, but he'll have another solid fantasy day as he always brings his "A" game no matter how mediocre the rest of his team plays.
Tight Ends
- Heath Miller (Pittsburgh) The Browns defense is weak through the middle partly due to injury, but mostly due to lack of talent. Miller lives over the middle and he is having a career season. The Steelers need a statement in the game versus the Browns and a lot of their offense will have nice fantasy days.
- Jason Witten (Dallas) Witten had his most productive fantasy day last weekend and he didn't even score a touchdown. The Cowboys need the Romo to Witten combo to keep from falling into the usual December woes. Look for Romo to Target his best buddy a bunch in a big game against the visiting Chargers.
- Antonio Gates (San Diego) The Cowboys have a decent secondary and will most likely choose to attempt to shut down the Chargers big play ability on the outside, leaving the passing game to Rivers to Gates to move the ball through the air.
- No Ways (Week 14)
Quarterbacks
- Eli Manning (NY Giants) In his first match-up this season verses the Eagles he didn't show to well and I expect the Eagles defense to harass him even more. This game has a ton riding on it for both teams and I expect the Giants to be turned very one dimensional on Sunday night.
- Carson Palmer (Cincinnati) The Vikings defense had their worst game of the season last Sunday night, but this week they're back at home. The defense needs a strong showing, because they haven't played well against their better opponents and surprisingly enough Cincinnati is one of those.
- Jay Cutler (Chicago) Not only is Cutler playing against one of the better defenses in the league. One that he threw four interceptions in their first meeting, but the Bears coaching staff will continue to do their best to hold back him back and not lose the game and their jobs.
Running Backs
- Knowshon Moreno (Denver) Since that bad 1st half of the Houston game a couple weeks back the Colts defense has been playing strong. Last week shutting down the bullet train that is Chris Johnson and this week will be the rookies turn to take a turn on the slow tracks.
- Frank Gore (San Francisco) The Cardinals defense has been improving over the past month and could have this team on track to make another deep run into the playoffs. The Cardinals remember that 1st game loss to the Niners and will be looking for a little payback and securing the NFC West.
- Matt Forte (Chicago) One of the more disappointing fantasy performers this season and don't expect much more from him for the rest of the year.
Wide Receivers
- Chris Chambers (Kansas City) Once he signed with the Chiefs after being cut by the Chargers he burst on the scene, but that flash has been slowed the last couple weeks. Now this week he faces a Buffalo team that is playing decent defense and has a very good secondary.
- Antonio Bryant (Tampa Bay) Being the only real threat on the outside and facing the best cornerback in the league (Darrelle Revis) doesn't equal very good day for Bryant.
- Brandon Marshall (Denver) The Colts secondary is getting a little bit healthy and Marshall will be keyed upon to keep from beating the undefeated Colts.
Tight Ends
- Vernon Davis (San Francisco) The Cardinals have the horses through the middle to run with the very large, athletic tight end who is the main weapon for the Niners passing game.
- Visanthe Shiancoe (Minnesota) Another team in the Bengals that are strong over the middle. This game will be won on the ground for the Vikings where they need to get the running game going.
- Tony Gonzalez (Atlanta) Playing one of the best teams in the league + back-up quarterback= bad day for all Falcons personnel.
