This week we are re-introduced to NFL Thursday night football. With the inception of the NFL Network a few years back they introduced us to their version of ruining the lives of media, bloggers and fantasy football owners. The Thursday night game really hurts the participants are even more effected playing of the NFL wanting a piece of their own pie.
For the media and bloggers it brings quick turn around to make picks, predictions and less time to review the weekend that was just before. For fantasy owners it gives us less time to make waiver wire pick-ups, trades and the need to make quicker decisions on setting the roster for the next weekend. Which really hurts teams that have players they may be in question of playing come Sunday. For the teams it is even worse, be it that football is so rough that it is the equivalent of going through multiple car wrecks in one day now teams must not only game plan on a quick turn around the players must suffer through more crashes in a four day span. For players this could cause a higher susceptibility to injuries as the body had very little recovery time. With the amount of injuries that already happen in the league, especially to the top performers on each team it just seem very smart for the need of these games.
I agree with the NFL that they deserve a piece of their own pie, but not at the expense of what makes their league go, THE PLAYERS. Without those players NFL, you would have no league. Now we have the government stepping in on concussion and their effects, players need more time to recover from their multiple car crashes that they endure on a weekly basis. Do your most precious commodity a favor and take a piece of your pie on Saturday or Sunday.
This week's game will pit two teams that are fledgling with the Chicago Bears visiting the San Francisco 49ers. Now you won't even get good ratings NFL Network.

You're the first to post about the Thursday game. Thanks. I hadn't realized that before stopping by.
